Olu's Dream provides illiterate primary school children with private, personalised English reading and writing lessons. Their Literacy team personally guides students through the phonics programme and ensure there is progress and understanding to enable the children to read English at a basic level after 6 months. They have weekly outings to DARG to read to the shelter animals.
Originally from Portland, Oregon, Katelyn Convery spent seven years living in South Korea,Spain and South Africa. Upbeat, ska-like rhythms, paired with folk/pop song structures and a sprinkle of jazz form the backbone of her music, which she breathes to life with her soulful voice and lyrics. I had the honor of photographing her debut album cover.
The Everyday Heroes Club’ (Ikasi Youth’s flagship Initiative) is a practical, results oriented, holistic afterschool program, whose aim it is to drive positive change in the IY township community. It provides a support structure and safe working environment for high school boys, with the aim to help them discover and realize their true potential.
