To mark the upcoming milestone birthday of my lovely friend Chloe, a special shoot with her most loved ones, Benji and Bells. Shot in the Fynbos above Hout Bay on a crisp autumn evening.
Say hello, molweni, and hallo to #HoutBayPeople, a new photographic project just launched through my work with The Hout Bay Partnership celebrating the diversity in our wonderful community of Hout Bay, Cape Town, providing glimpses of the personalities behind the faces. New faces will appear every week. Follow the project as it continues on Instagram @houtbaypeople or like the HB Good News Facebook Page and never miss a portrait...
Thanks to Tanya Blacher for giving her time to be the catalyst and brains behind the project!
This past Sunday I photographed the first ever Muddy Princess event in South Africa! 5k obstacle fun run in Stellenbosch. It was definitely a challenge to cover a 5k event with over 2,000 participants over an 8 hour day but there's nothing better than capturing strong women totally having a blast!
Since this was their first event they specifically hired me to capture their marketing images which will be used for all promotion, press, and sponsor recruitment materials as they grow the event. It was a nice challenge to be able to focus on capturing specific emotions and imagery rather than the standard race photography of getting photos of individual participants (there was a private company offering this service at the event). It was a great day in the mud and a very well run event!
